International, professional education and further training for nutritionists
The Academy for Nutritionists offers worldwide education and further training courses for nutritionists through distance learning. Courses are offered in English and German.
The education and further training courses offered by the Academy for Nutritionists are subject to constant surveillance, revision and expansion by experienced ecotrophologists (nutritionists) and pharmacists whose job is to educate and train nutritionists.
Healthy nutrition starts with gaining knowledge about nutrition
Education at the Academy for Nutritionists starts with acquiring basic knowledge about nutrition
You will learn about:
- nutrients (proteins, water, minerals)
- fuels (carbohydrates and fat)
- agents (vitamins, minerals, enzymens)
- dietary fibres
- secondary plant products
The whole further education program for nutritionists is based on this fundamental knowledge.
Nutrition counselling as preventive task
Nutrition studies will focus in particular on developing knowledge about health prevention. This can be achieved through target-aimed and healthy nutrition. Nutritionists educated by the Academy for Nutritionists will gain adequate knowledge to advise their clients on:
- adequate nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding women
- adequate nutrition counselling for toddlers, children and teenagers
- adequate nutrition for elderly people
- adequate nutrition for athletes
- adequate nutrition in order to lose weight
Furthermore, they will be able to support these clients on a long-term basis.
Nutrition counselling as supporting measure
After completing your studies as nutritionist at the Academy for Nutritionists, your expert knowledge and social commitment will help you to provide individual advice on customised nutrition and/or on nutrition in case of certain diseases like:
- allergies
- cardiac diseases
- circulatory disorders
- neurodermatitis
- gastro-intestinal diseases
- liver and bile diseases
- pancreatic diseases
- rheumatism
- gout
- osteoporosis
- cancer
This extended expert knowledge will be taught after having acquired the basics of nutrition and will take 12 months, while the whole course has a duration of 18 months.
Important additional expert knowledge for nutritionists
Of course, future nutritionists attending our Academy will also acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a professional counselling interview.
Additional courses only for graduates of the Academy for Nutritionists
In order to give a boost to your job as nutritionist and to gain a significant advantage over your competitors, you will have the possibility to book and complete the following short courses after having finnished your education at the Academy for Nutritionists.

These further trainings are only available for graduates having already completed the Nutritionist courses at the Academy for Nutritionists.
